TIG welder — Autauga County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a TIG welder in Autauga County, Alabama. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot On the job you will handle: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
