Requirements: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Basic cake decorating and piping skills Day-to-day duties: • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
