Brick and block layer — Shelby County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Shelby County, Ohio. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding The role involves raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $4,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
