Immediate opening: we are hiring a single needle operator in Carter County, Tennessee. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish Requirements: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
