Immediate opening: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You will work at a road-building project. Day-to-day duties: • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles Requirements: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings Full-time with occasional weekends.
