Immediate opening: fusing press operator (North Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Washington County, North Carolina. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. You should have: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Day-to-day duties: • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
