Sewing machine operator • Shelby County, Iowa

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Shelby County, Iowa. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. On the job you will handle: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
