Concrete pump mate — Denton County

Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Denton County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour Requirements: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
