Vertical milling machine operator — Concordia Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Concordia Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a die and mould making unit. The role involves: • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed Requirements: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
