Day-to-day duties: • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports Ideal candidate: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Rotating shifts.
