Immediate opening: we are hiring a moulder in Union County, Illinois. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day to day you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together.
