Die-casting operator — Johnson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Johnson County, Missouri. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. Your main tasks: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings 5+ years on the tools preferred.
