Foundry operative — Franklin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Franklin County, Missouri. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Part-time with flexible hours. $9,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
