Now hiring: we are hiring a head butcher in Kearney County, Nebraska. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You should have: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling The role involves season and marinate meat on request; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
