Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring 1+ years on the tools preferred.
