Mechanical press operator wanted in Westchester County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Westchester County, New York. You will work in a forging and pressing unit. Day to day you will record output and downtime on the production sheet; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges Full-time with occasional weekends.
