We are recruiting: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Akpabuyo, Cross River State. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Your main tasks: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
