Join our team: we are hiring a general labourer in Columbia County, Florida. You will work on a residential housing site. Ideal candidate: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites The role involves: • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns Full-time, day shift.
