Meat cutter — Franklin County

Now hiring: we are hiring a meat cutter in Franklin County, Illinois. The job is in a meat processing plant. Day-to-day duties: • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Season and marinate meat on request • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case Requirements: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Full-time, day shift.
