Immediate opening: moulder (Georgia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a moulder in Dooly County, Georgia. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On a typical shift you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
