Immediate opening: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Cumberland County, Virginia. You will check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely. Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
