Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Lafayette County, Arkansas. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances On a typical shift you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring).
