Stamping press operator wanted in Huron County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stamping press operator in Huron County, Michigan. The job is on the press shop floor. The role involves load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges Full-time, day shift.
