We are recruiting: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Columbia County, Florida. You will be based in a job-work machining unit. Ideal candidate: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Day-to-day duties: • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Write and edit G-code programs at the control 4+ years on the tools preferred.
