Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Surulere, Oyo State. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Full-time with occasional weekends.
