D6/D8 dozer operator — Kenai Peninsula Borough

Vacancy available: we are hiring a D6/D8 dozer operator in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain Day-to-day duties: • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily • Refuel the machine and record running hours • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms 4+ years on the tools preferred.
