Now hiring: we are hiring a crane operator in Hamblen County, Tennessee. You will be based in a steel fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Current medical and eyesight certificate Day to day you will grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity. 1+ years on the tools preferred. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
