Press machine operator — Reading

Great opportunity: we are hiring a press machine operator in Reading, England. The job is at a busy press shop. What we are looking for: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg The role involves: • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
