Precision welder wanted in Douglas County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Douglas County, Illinois. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Day to day you will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
