Core maker • Delta County, Michigan

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Delta County, Michigan. You will work on the moulding line. Day to day you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills Overtime paid at a premium rate.
