The role involves: • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
