Join our team: we are hiring a bricklayer in Bridgend county borough, Wales. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. The role involves buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks 3+ years on the tools preferred.
