Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently Your main tasks: • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
