Bar bender and fixer wanted in Monroe County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Monroe County, Alabama. You will work at a precast concrete yard. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements The role involves: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
