Immediate opening: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Grundy County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss Ideal candidate: • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing Six days a week, one day off.
