Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Coffey County, Kansas. The job is on the moulding line. You will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Six days a week, one day off.
