Offshore rigger — Richland Parish

Join our team: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Richland Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a container port. On a typical shift you will guide loads through tight openings into their final position; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
