Argon welding operator — York County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon welding operator in York County, Pennsylvania. The job is on a structural steel site. On a typical shift you will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
