Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Putnam County, Ohio. What we are looking for: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling On a typical shift you will cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
