Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings The role involves: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Six days a week, one day off.
