Metal caster — Sterling County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a metal caster in Sterling County, Texas. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Your main tasks: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Full-time with occasional weekends. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
