Urgent requirement: we are hiring a butcher in Zapata County, Texas. The job is at a halal meat counter. Day to day you will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. Ideal candidate: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
