Ironing operator — Gordon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an ironing operator in Gordon County, Georgia. You will work at a textile finishing unit. On a typical shift you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts. Ideal candidate: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Full-time with occasional weekends.
