Brick mason wanted in Wallowa County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Wallowa County, Oregon. You will work on a new-build development. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Day to day you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge.
