Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Pottawatomie County, Kansas. The job is at an auto-components manufacturing unit. You should have: • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred On the job you will handle: • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) Rotating shifts.
