Semi-automatic welder — Marshall County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Marshall County, Illinois. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings The role involves set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration.
