Tower crane operator — Linn County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Linn County, Oregon. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. The role involves: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Six days a week, one day off.
