Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection The role involves carry out 6G pipe welds where required; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion.
