We are recruiting: sewing machine operator (Alabama)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Choctaw County, Alabama. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Your main tasks: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift Full-time with occasional weekends.
