Fabricator-welder — Knott County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Knott County, Kentucky. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Your main tasks: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
